WHAT WE DO

One of the strategic directions in University development is achieving international standards in training of medical, research and academic staff and integration into the European educational and scientific space on the base of Bologna declaration. Bogomolets NMU International activity has versatile format and is aimed at establishment and improvement of international relations and international cooperation of the institution in scientific, practical, educational and other branches by making organizational efforts to form the circle of foreign partners, additional financial resource, creating conditions for cooperation with foreign citizens, educational and scientific institutions, international organizations and funds.

International activity of the University is directed on achieving the following goals:

  • Acceleration of the process of NMU integration into international academic space with saving and further development of scientific achievements and their application to international programmes and projects;
  • Creating conditions for further development and wide implementation of principles and standards of the Bologna process;Consolidation of position on the world and national educational market;
  • Providing an access to informational resources of the best world experience in the field of organisation of educational and research work, development of students amateur activities, establishment of effective connections with world achievements in the field of medicine and pharmacy, their effective application to educational and research activities and practice;
  • Involving the University to international educational and research projects;
  • Using the international recourses for implementation of educational and research programmes.


Due to the goals Office for International Cooperation performs the following activities and functions:

  • organisation, coordination and representation of the NMUs international activities;analysis and systematising educational and research proposals/initiatives of the Universitys institutes, faculties, chairs and other divisions concerning priorities in international collaboration;
  • perspective and current planning of international activities of the NMU, search for partner institutions for contacts establishment on the level of university, faculty, chair due to educational, scientific and practical expediency;
  • generalisation and analysis of information on international educational, research and integrated programmes;
  • establishment and support of relations with embassies and representative offices of foreign states to Ukraine and other international organisations, accredited in Ukraine;
  • analysis of the effectiveness of cooperation with foreign HEIs and other international organisations;
  • elaboration and development of projects of bi- and multilateral agreements on cooperation with foreign partner institutions and also control over fulfilment of terms of the agreements;
  • negotiations with foreign partners;
  • an arrangement of joint educational, research and cultural actions with international partners;
  • preparation of documents for submission of applications from NMU to participate in international educational and research international programmes, international academic mobility programmes;
  • expanding of opportunities for academic mobility of students, faculty and administration staff of the University;
  • making documents for official delegations from the NMU, staff and students who go abroad;
  • reception and protocol support of delegations from other countries;
  • consulting on issues of legalisation/verification of medical/pharmaceutical credentials obtained in the NMU;
  • coordination of the English Language Programme for international students;
  • coordination of the process of teachers advanced training in the English language proficiency in order to provide sufficient faculty reserve for teaching students of the English Language Programme;
  • promotion and dissemination of scientific achievements of the Universitys staff and students among foreign HEIs and world scientific community in general.


International Student Matters
